2025–2026 Season Walk Times
The Taranoho Scenic Walk is officially open and we can’t wait to share this incredible part of the Coromandel with you!
Choose from two morning walk times, each offering its own unique experience:
7:15 am – perfect for early adventurers who love cooler temperatures, soft sunrise light, and a peaceful start to the day.
9:00 am – a great option for those who prefer a slower start while still soaking up all the views and fresh country air.
Walk days will alternate and are weather dependent, so we recommend booking early to lock in your preferred time.

Your ticket includes walking poles to make the journey more comfortable, so you can focus on taking in the sweeping views, fresh country air, and the unique beauty of Taranoho at your own pace.
Children
Adventure for little explorers for $18
Children under 16 can enjoy the walk.
A great way for the whole family to experience Taranoho together.
Walking is better together.
Gather your friends, family, or team and enjoy Taranoho as a group. For groups of 8 or more, tickets are just $30 each, the perfect way to share the views, the fresh air, and the adventure at a great rate.
Booking Terms

To ensure we’re ready for your visit, bookings must be made at least 48 hours in advance.
We require full payment 24 hours prior to your walk to secure your spot.
If your plans change, cancellations made up to 24 hours before your booking are fully refundable, minus a $5 booking fee.
We keep our terms simple so you can book with confidence and focus on enjoying your Taranoho adventure.

Yes, children are welcome to join the Taranoho Scenic Walk. We do ask that parents and caregivers consider their child’s capabilities, as parts of the track may be challenging. Walking poles are provided to help make the experience more enjoyable for younger walkers.

The walk is designed to be enjoyable for most ages and abilities. However, please note there are stiles at fence crossings, so walkers need to be able to climb over these safely. We recommend considering personal fitness and mobility before booking to ensure a comfortable experience.

Not at this stage. For the safety of our livestock, native wildlife, and all walkers, dogs are not currently permitted on the track.

Yes, there will be both toilet facilities and a shelter available for visitors, providing a convenient spot to rest before or after your walk.

No, there are no food or drink outlets on-site. We recommend coming prepared with water and any snacks you may need to enjoy your walk comfortably.

Campervans and mini vans can be parked at the bottom of the hill near the cattle yards. From there, we provide a shuttle service to take you up to the start of the walk, making access easy and hassle-free.
